Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Simplify Expenses, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app. These terms apply to all users of the service, including Free, Pro, and Team tier subscribers.

Service Description

Simplify Expenses is a personal and team finance management application that provides:

  • Expense tracking and categorization.
  • Receipt scanning and automatic data extraction.
  • Subscription and recurring expense management.
  • Collaborative workspaces for sharing expenses with teams or households.
  • Dashboard analytics and spending insights.

Account & Authentication

A Google account is required to sign in to Simplify Expenses. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Subscription Tiers

Simplify Expenses offers the following tiers:

  • Free — core expense tracking, basic categories, and a single workspace.
  • Pro — everything in Free, plus additional workspaces, advanced analytics, receipt scanning, and subscription tracking.
  • Team — everything in Pro, plus team member management, shared workspaces, and collaboration features.

Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account settings. Access to paid features continues until the end of your current billing period.

User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create in Simplify Expenses, including expenses, receipt images, categories, and notes. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to store or transmit fraudulent financial data.
  • Abuse shared workspaces by uploading harmful, offensive, or misleading content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
  • Use automated systems or bots to interact with the service without prior authorization.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the application.

Intellectual Property

The Simplify Expenses application, including its user interface, design, branding, logos, and underlying code, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the application without our written consent.

Limitation of Liability

Simplify Expenses is a tool for tracking and organizing personal finances. It does not provide financial, tax, or investment advice. We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on information displayed in the app. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service, with or without notice.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Simplify Expenses after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
